What is a Pop-Up Emitter?
Pop-Up Emitter: A spring-loaded ground-level outlet at the end of a buried downspout extension.
Full definition
A pop-up emitter is a circular ground-level outlet at the end of a buried downspout drain line. The spring-loaded lid sits flush with the lawn until water pressure builds, at which point it pops up and releases water onto the grass several feet away.
Pop-up emitters are the cleanest solution for buried downspout extensions: invisible when not in use, lawnmower-safe, and self-clearing of debris.
