Should I get 5″ or 6″ gutters in Kansas City?
For most Kansas City ranches and bi-levels under 1,500 sq ft of roof, 5″ K-style is sufficient. For larger homes (1,500+ sq ft), steep pitches (8/12+), or roofs with multiple valleys feeding into one section, we recommend 6″ K-style. Why are the estimates a range instead of an exact number?
Two homes with identical square footage can have very different gutter costs — one might have steep gables that need scaffolding, the other a single-story ranch with easy ladder access. We show a range to be honest about that variability. The midpoint is our best guess based on your inputs.
