Church & School Gutters

TL;DR

Oversized 6″ and 7″ K-style seamless gutters for steep sanctuary roofs, long school wings, and institutional buildings across the KC metro. Scheduling built around services, school hours, and summer break; committee-ready written estimates with color charts and insurance certificates. $12—$24 per linear foot on commercial-scale buildings.

Big roofs, tall eaves, and buildings a whole community counts on.

A steep sanctuary roof concentrates an enormous roof plane into a short run of eave — runoff comes off it fast enough to overshoot an undersized gutter entirely. School wings have the opposite problem: long, low runs that quietly back-pitch and rot fascia for years. We install and repair both, on schedules that respect what these buildings are actually for.

Steep Roofs

Sanctuary rooflines are a sizing problem first.

Pitch accelerates water. The steeper and taller the roof plane, the more capacity and the smarter the placement the system below it needs.

  • Oversized 6″ and 7″ K-style sized to pitch and roof area, not habit
  • 3×4″ downspouts placed where the volume actually arrives
  • Valley splash management above entry doors
  • Overflow control that protects stone and brick facades from staining
  • Tall-eave access planned into the quote — no surprises on install day
  • Fascia and soffit repair where old gutters have leaked for years
How We Work

Built for committees, budgets, and school calendars.

Institutional projects move through boards, councils, and budget cycles. Our paperwork and scheduling are built for that pace.

Committee-ready paper

Line-itemed written estimates, product spec sheets, and manufacturer color charts — everything a board, vestry, or facilities committee needs to approve with confidence. Certificates of insurance on request.

Scheduling that respects the building

Around services and events for churches; around school hours for districts — with summer break as the ideal window for bigger school projects. Monday–Saturday scheduling.

Stewardship pricing

If a repair and re-pitch buys the building five more years, that’s what we’ll recommend. Written 10-year workmanship warranty when we do install.

Full Scope

One vendor for the whole campus.

Sanctuary, education wing, gym, annex — different rooflines, one system-wide plan.

  • 6″ and 7″ K-style seamless installation in .032 or .040 aluminum
  • Section repair and re-pitching between capital-project cycles
  • Fall and spring cleaning plans, with needed repairs flagged in writing
  • LeafBlaster Pro micro-mesh guards to cut ladder visits over walkways
  • Older buildings with failed built-in box gutters: quoted as conversions to modern K-style — we don’t restore built-in systems
  • Downspout routing and drainage tie-ins to keep water off sidewalks
FAQ

Church and school questions, answered.

Can you work while school is in session?

Yes — we stage away from active entrances and schedule around school hours. That said, summer break is the ideal window for full replacements on school buildings, and many districts plan it that way.

How high can you work on a sanctuary?

Single-story and two-story eave lines, including tall sanctuary eaves with planned lift access, yes. Extreme-height steeple and specialty structural work is outside our scope, and we’ll say so upfront.

What does a church or school gutter project cost?

Commercial-scale buildings typically run $12—$24 per linear foot installed depending on size, gauge, eave height, and downspout count. Smaller annex or parsonage buildings price closer to residential rates. Written line-itemed estimates are free, returned within 48 hours.

Our building committee needs documentation before approving. What do you provide?

A line-itemed written estimate, product spec sheet, and manufacturer color charts with every quote — plus certificates of insurance on request. We’re used to the committee timeline and happy to requote when budgets shift.

Our 1920s church has built-in box gutters. Do you service those?

We don’t repair or restore built-in box gutters. Where one is failing, we provide a written conversion quote to a modern K-style hung system — removing the built-in failure point while protecting the building’s look with period-appropriate colors.
