K-style gutter is a specific profile shape with a flat back (which nails to the fascia) and a curved, decorative front face that resembles classical crown molding. The 'K' designation comes from the profile shape resembling the letter K when viewed end-on.

K-style is the dominant residential gutter profile in the US, used on roughly 90% of homes built after 1940.
