Full definition

Fascia rot is wood decay in the fascia board, almost always caused by sustained water exposure from a leaking gutter or missing drip edge. It starts as a soft spot detectable by probing with a screwdriver, then progresses to visible rot, then to complete board failure.

Premier inspects fascia closely BEFORE quoting a gutter project to identify rot up front. Repair cost: $4-$8 per linear foot for like-for-like, $7-$12 for composite upgrade.
