5 Signs It's Time to Replace Your Gutters

Five clear signs gutters need replacement (not just cleaning or repair): (1) visible sagging between hangers, (2) separation at miters or end caps, (3) visible holes or rust spots, (4) water staining on fascia behind the gutter, (5) gutters older than 25 years. Any one of these means it's time for a quote.

The 5 signs

Mid-run sag — if you can see the gutter dipping between hangers, the hangers are pulling out or the gutter coil has fatigued. Repair if 1-2 spots; replace if widespread.
Miter or end-cap separation — visible gap, visible drip, visible white sealant residue. Often a sign of widespread sealant failure.
Holes or rust — for aluminum, rare except at corrosion points. For steel, common at 25+ years. Replace.
Fascia staining — vertical streaks down the fascia mean water has been running behind the gutter for years. Fascia rot may already be in progress.
