Financing Options for New Gutters in KC

Your three real options
HELOC — best rate, but slow to set up. Right for $5K+ projects and people with home equity.
0% intro credit card — great for $1K-$5K projects you can pay off in 12-18 months. Common cards: Chase, Citi, Cap One offer 12-18 month 0% intros regularly.
Contractor financing (Synchrony / GreenSky) — common option pushed by national chains. Convenient but rates are usually 7-15% APR after any intro period. Read terms carefully.
What to watch for
- 'Deferred interest' clauses — if you don't pay off in the promotional period, ALL accrued interest hits at once
- Origination fees — some contractor programs add 5-10% upfront
- Lifetime payment plans — the only thing 'lifetime' should be is the warranty, not the loan
Premier's approach
We don't push contractor financing — it adds 5-15% to your effective cost in fees we'd rather not be part of. We accept credit cards, ACH, and checks. If you need financing, we'll suggest realistic options outside our quote.
Frequently asked
Is gutter replacement tax deductible?
Generally no for primary residence. Yes if it's a rental property (depreciation).
Are there any KC-area gutter assistance programs?
Not specifically for gutters, but the City of KC has some weatherization assistance programs that occasionally include drainage work. Check kcmo.gov.
Can I roll gutter cost into a refinance?
Technically yes, but the math rarely works unless you're already refinancing for other reasons.
