Best Time of Year to Install Gutters in KC

Last updated: May 23, 2026 · Reading time ~5 min

The best months to install gutters in Kansas City are September-November (after peak storms, before winter) and March-April (after thaw, before May storms). Avoid December-February when frozen fascia makes sealant cure slower. Late summer (July-August) is fine but books out fast.

Season by season

Spring (March-May): Great window. Fascia is thawed, sealant cures well, you're getting gutters in place before May/June peak storms. Crews are less backlogged after winter.

Summer (June-August): Fine but crews are busiest. Lead times 2-3 weeks. Heat doesn't affect quality.

Fall (September-November): The premium window. Past summer rush, ahead of winter. Best timing for capturing leaf season with new guards.

Winter (December-February): Possible but suboptimal. Below ~40°F, sealant cure slows. Snow/ice on roof can delay scheduling.

Pricing seasonality

KC gutter pricing is relatively flat year-round. We don't do dramatic seasonal discounts. Late-winter (Jan-Feb) sometimes sees small promotions to fill the slow calendar.

Frequently asked

Should I rush before winter if my gutters are failing?

If failure is causing damage, yes — we install year-round when weather allows.

What about installing during a roof replacement?

Always schedule gutters AFTER roof is complete — gutters often need to come off for roof work.

Best time for guards?

Anytime — just confirm gutters are sound first.
